Welcome to Paro, Bhutan’s panoramic district! Dukair representatives will be at the airport to welcome you. After touching down at Paro and check-in at hotel in Thim-phu, we’ll visit the National Memorial Chorten, the Centenary Farmers’ Market and the Tashichho Dzong. Thereafter, we will drive up to Kuensel Phodrang Nature Park where the 169 feet bronze statue of Buddha Dordenma is located. You can enjoy the night walking around Thimphu Town after dinner.
Overnight at Thimphu
Today we drive to Punakha and along the way, we stop at Dochula Pass where the 108 chortens commemorating Bhutan’s victory over indian militants is located. We’ll proceed to visit Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten with the day
ending with a tour of the magnificent Punakha Dzong.
Overnight at Punakha
After breakfast we proceed to Paro. At the Sopsokha village, we’ll go to the Chimi Lhakhang where childless couples receive fertility blessings followed by a scenic drive onward to the Paro valley. Look out for Jomolhari, the third tallest mountain peak which can be seen on a sunny day.
Overnight at Paro
Today, we’ll take and exhilarating hike to Paro Taktang (Tiger’s Nest). after the hike is done, we’ll visit Kichu Lhakhang and Paro Dzong. We’ll visit Kichu Lhakhang and Paro Dzong before driving to Chele La Pass (3,988m). From here, you can see Paro vally on one side and Haa valley on the other. We’ll return to Paro for the night. You’ll have the rest of the day to enjoy a walk around Paro town or buy some souvenirs before you return.
